PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY TO THE RESCUE.

Our tailor-made workshops for behavioral health organizations can get you there.

PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY IN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

A LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

There are a lot of buzzwords that fly around, but Psychological Safety is a research-based one that has 24 years of research support across multiple industries.

Psychological Safety is equal parts philosophy, attitude, behavior, and communication. And it flows up and down the org chart.

If you're a behavioral health organization that's struggling to slow your revolving door of turnover, want to have a supportive workplace, or are shocked at what people say in exit interviews, this one is for you.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

Psychological safety can be a difficult topic to take on, but our workshop makes it engaging, accessible, and of course – psychologically safe.

This introductory workshop helps behavioral health organizations explore:
  •  What psychological safety means to their company culture
  •  Identify blame-free ways to improve
  •  Leave participants with research-backed
    recommendations.
Whether you have a great foundation that you want to build on, or you’re starting your psychological safety transformation, Kristyn & Mikaela will meet you where you’re at and help you meet your goals of a psychologically safe workplace.

MEET YOUR GUIDES

Behavioral health organizations are businesses filled with:

UNIQUE STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

UNIQUE PEOPLE

SERVING UNIQUE POPULATIONS

That means you need folks who understand your experiences, AND speak your language.

Our workshop facilitators don’t just get you – we ARE you.

MIKAELA JAMES

M.A., BCBA

Mikaela's initial behavioral science experiences found her doing home and clinic-based care for kids with autism. Through those experiences, she learned the ins and outs of that space, and realized she needed something... different.

Her pivot to psychological safety, employee experience, and employee wellness just made sense. She wanted to keep working on things that made lives better, but at a macro-level.

KRISTYN PETERSON

PHD, BCBA, LBA, CWP

Kristyn started out her career the way most BCBAs did - in pediatric autism. Her pivot to OBM was largely influenced by the lack of psychologically safety for clinicians. Now, she's on a mission to help behavioral health create better work experiences for every employee.

Ask Kristyn about how to make a psychologically safe apology as a leader. She's had practice.

HOW WE LIGHT THE PATH

We use behavioral science to teach behavioral science. We know that just sitting in a lecture has not been shown to produce meaningful change. That’s why all of our workshops involve hands-on, and experiential learning activities to make sure the concepts stick.

  • Establish common terms - so we stay on the same page
  • Uncover shared values and common goals
  • Build skills, so you can execute on your new knowledge
  • Experiential and hands-on learning, to solidfy concepts
  • Personalized recommendations so you can continue your journey (or - take us along with you, we'd love to help!)

Provided in a supported, psychologically safe format so you can see another model of how it could look for your organization.
